Ilya is a type designer, a graphic designer and a teacher.

Since 2007 he has also supervised the curriculum in type and typography at the British Higher School of Art and Design in Moscow.
Back in Moscow, he has collaborated with a number of media outlets: Bolshoi Gorod, Kommersant, Afisha, Moskovskiye Novosti, and Men’s Health Russia.

Ilya will be focusing his talk on the following topics: What typefaces should one use today? What should a typeface look like in 2019? Is trendiness important in typography and typeface design? What makes a contemporary typeface appear contemporary? What will contemporary type look like tomorrow?
